A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for Pickens. Southeastern Oconee, Greenville, Anderson, Hart and eastern Franklin counties until 5:30 pm EST. At 4:55 pm EST, National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Pickens to Pendleton to Royston, moving northeast at 65 mph.
